She was standing on our porch shaking. I eased over to her and she ran off. I left her some dog food and water and came back 2 hours later and found her again on the porch. She looks like a little terrier and weighs about 20 lbs. She knows how to sit and shake, so somebody spent a little time with her. She has no collar, so What would you all recommend? Found her in the McDonald area.

TAKE CARE OF HER TILL YOU FIND THE OWNER,,THATS WHAT I DID,,I FOUND ONE ON MY PORCH,,AND KEEP IT TWO WEEKS TILL I FOUND THE OWNER,,GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY THE DOG,,

That happened to me once and I handwrote a bunch of signs and stapled them to posts around the area. Had my 7 month old pup (boxer / yellow lab mix) run away a few weeks ago and get hit by a car and die. So if it were me, I would keep it until I found the owner, I wouldnt just let it roam . If the owner never shows up then I would have a new dog.

Does Luther on WDEF still do the Lost Dog Reports?.. Someone may be looking for her as we speak.. and missing her and terribly worried for her safety. Best of luck to you, her and her family.

What area of Mc Donald? I live on Brymer Creek. I can look out for signs in my area. </p>

Mc Donald Grocery used to have a bulletin board for lost and found's. I'll see if the new owner kept it.

Had a coon dog living under my screened in back porch for a few days before my neighbor hollered at me and asked me when I got my dog. I said, What dog? Stayed with me about 2 weeks. This was about 15 years ago and I think it was Luther that got the owner in touch with me. He had been coon hunting with Jughead and a couple of litter mates on Wolftever Creek on Bell Mill. The owner was really excited also most as excited as Jughead.

Ok thanks guys, she is as sweet as she can be. I know the owner is worried sick about her right now. She is an older dog, but listens and understands very well. I live off Pine Hill Rd, Digitalcb and thanks for reminding me about McDonald Grocery and thanks everyone for reminding me about Luther too. I will give it a shot. We gave her a bath and she ended up taking my spot on the couch. Oh well, the last few hours of her life have been a little stressful so Im gonna let her rest. Thanks again for your help.

Another thing you could try and check with the local vets in your area. They sometimes have owners post missing signs and give them the information about a lost pet. The vet can also scan the dog for a chip. If there has ever been a chip put in her it will go off when they scan her. If registered the people who made the chip should have the owners information. emoThumbsup Jmax

I cant believe i forgot to mention this, but some dogs have ID chips that can be scanned at vets. They can check if she has one, and if she does, it should be easy to find her owner.

Yes the chips work good the vets will check for free i have chips in all my dogs 45.00 just takes a minute to do
