If they are true koi, you should try to sell them to a pet store. Koi are VERY expensive. I found that out when I dumped a 5lb bass, two slab crappies, a couple of bull bluegills and about a 6lb northern pike in my buddies Koi pond in Minneapolis last year. It was HILARIOUS!!!!! He was standing there with a cocktail while we were having a family BBQ.... he said "Wow. I bought $180 about 3 dozen koi.... small gold ones.... and now I've only got about six!" We had snuck up there one night on the way back from the lake and I kept these fish to dump in there. Had NO Idea they were expensive... THen he noticed a BIG fish dart out from the lily pads and swipe a gold fish... He went "WHOAAA!!!! What the H$)# is in there!!!!" Walked in the garage, grabbed the net out of his boat and started swiping through... He pulled up a big crappie.... "How'd that get in there???" Then swiped again... Pulled up the Bass and about died!!!!! I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants! It was hilarious!!!!!!!!!!! Try it sometine.... You'll like it!
And if you can't get rid of the small ones, just put a 2lb bass in there. It will amaze you how many they eat in a short time.
