I watched an episode of River Monsters and it was an extensive study on how the bull sharks don't migrate back out of fresh water anymore they just live there!!!

If there is no dam between you and the ocean then there can be a bull shark. As someone said, they can live in fresh water for long periods of time. There have been bull sharks caught as far north as St Louis int he Mississippi before. They are amazing animals, but I wonder if someone just dumped that one in the lake.
