I met with FusionMan and a buddy of his to try out the lower end of Watts Bar last Friday. Not to make excuses, but the wind was absolutely brutal. It was blowing 15-20 when we got there and didn't let up all day.

Within the first 15 minutes of fishing FusionMan caught a small smallie on a bluff bank with a crawdad crankbait. We couldn't fish much of it, simply too much wind. We decided to try some areas in Lowe's Branch and Piney River and wound up with 2 keeper largemouth and 1 drum. We did have a couple on that shook off, not sure what they were or size.

Both keeper largemouth (close to 5 lbs total I guess) came on 4" twister grubs off of similar points in Piney where the wind was minimized. The base color of the grubs was a brown tint.

We threw crankbaits, grubs, tubes, jerk baits, Carolina rig, silver buddy, finesse worms of all sorts of colors.

FusionMan and his buddy were practicing for a tourney. I hope they did well for what little I was able to show them. Fishing anything in open water was useless.

I had a great time, made new friends, a lot of thanks to CFF because this is where we met!! I'm looking forward to fishing with FusionMan again someday.

I've PM'd some back and forth with FusionMan. He seems like a really knowledgable guy and has done well on some national tournament trails. I look forward to more of his and other fisherpersons from around the country. He's from Cinncinnati OH. Andy Morgan, where are you? You are doing so well on the FLW trail, we need your local input and others locally that are on national trails, Mr. Kendrick, where are you??????????? Throw us a couple of bones would you?
