Heading down next Thursday to try the top water bite for a few days. Question is am I wasting my time? Didn't know if it would still be too early. Any info would be appreciated.

Buzz bait is even slow for the bite. May get hit once or twice an outting unless you are at the right place and right time.

Had a frog bite about 3 weeks ago but since then nothing. Not anything on any top water baits. Just recently have started hearing the snap, crackle and pop.If all the grass don't get messed up and the water temperature keeps dropping I don't think it will be to long before it turns on. This is strictly my uneducated opinion for for what that's worth.

I caught em good on a frog last week. Got 10 on it this morning, but no size this morning. My clients caught some big ones on frogs last week.

It's just now starting to get good for me. The mat is alot better than it was. But I've only had luck with a popping frog. But they were hitting it well a couple days ago

calveryc its when the blue gill get in the mat and start eating bugs off the top you will hear it and it sounds like a big bowl of rice crispies snapping in a bowl of milk.

I could hear it tonight. I couldn't figure out what it was but it was prevalent. Thanks

Appreciate the info guys hope to get on some with a frog next week what is water temp I usually stay between grasshopper and Dayton
