A few buddies and myself headed out at 10:00 p.m. Friday night to stab some frogs around Bethel and Harms. The frogs weren't super active after the thunderstorm. We did manage to bring home 10 frogs, and most of them were very big. They were super delicious. We had to work real hard for the frogs, and we did gig a monster snapping turtle. The frog killer was dispatched quickly.

man haven't been frog gigging in years when i was a kid did it all the time brings back alot of memories thanks for the post.

My son and I have been giggin here latley. Spur met up with us one night and I wanna say we had right at 30.
The next night we gigged a local swamp..very difficult to float. Managed 10 good bulls.

Besides fishing...gigging is pretty fun....and Tastey!

Talk about bringing back memories. I remember the first time I brought home a mess of frogs (early 1070's) - Apparently my mom had some experience fixing frog legs (born in Hot Springs Virginia) - She asked me if I wanted to see something cool? - After she cleaned the batch she let me sprinkle some salt over the frog legs in water and to my surprise the legs started twitching. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen, especially since my mom had turned me onto it! She's still kicking herself, in her early 90's. God bless cool moms!
