Does anyone know what size fuel tank is in a 94 Javelin 379T? emoScratch Any info would be of great help. My oiler is disconnected due to leakage problems and I now have to mix my oil. So therefore, I need to know the size of my fuel tank. Fuzzy
Fuzzy, just put the gas in first and then add the oil acording to the instructions/ratio, it will mix well by the time you get to the boat ramp. If you try to add the oil first, you don't know how much gas your tank will hold.
Thanks for the tip, but this is the first time that I am mixing and I have over a half tank of gasoline in it now. How do I know how much oil to mix with what is in there now? Fuzzy.
You will have to drain the tank one time and add the gas back to the tank and keep up with the amount you add back, it takes so much oil per gallon acording to your motor specs. You might figure out a way to drain your tank, maybe siphon the gas out, maybe pump it out but you definately need to know the amount that is in the tank so that you can add the correct amount of oil. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this problem, people talk about doing this all the time on here.
