I have always heard the rumor that a full moon affects the deer, however i do not know if this is completely true. What is yall's knowledge about this. Do you normally not see deer when the moon is full the night before you hunt? I am concidering going in the morning but dont want to waste time if the moon seriously affects the hunting.

one of the best days to see deer early then late. with the moon being so brite they usually feed all night long and bed early and feed again late evening. good luck and kill a bigone.

Don't know about all that but saw 3 deer in 2 different places feeding around 1 P.M. this afternoon riding down the road in huntable areas. Also heard shooting nearby while walking the dog shortly thereafter. To me it appeared a mid day movement.

I would say that the moon does effect deer movement in early stages of the rut.But I have always found after about the third week of November, the deer are begiuning to get so active they seem to loose track of the time of day or night. And you will start to see them all times of the day. ;) I also saw a buck DOGGING the crap out of a doe down the river bank. We slowed the boat, he stoped, and then started running her agian with us watching from 20 yards. She looked like death frozen over!
