I bought this rod last fall. I was a little hesitant about spending $220.00 for a spinning rod but I think they are worth it.I have several ST.Croix Avid rods and they are very good but I think is worth spending a little more for the G.Loomis. Having used it on Tim's and the river for SM I would highly recommend it.

Catch I have several G Loomis rods and have never regreted buying any of them. Nothing is lighter or more sensitive. The good thing about Loomis is that they ALL have the lifetime warranty. Only the highest end St Croix rods have a lifetime warranty. Loomis has a 2 day turn around on warranty rods. I broke one a few years ago. Called them up on Monday and had my new rod on Wednesday.

+1 for what Cheez said. Loomis is by far the best quality rod around bar none. I tried a couple of the Kistler LTX 2's and broke 7 of them in one season. I now have two Loomis Mossyback's which are lighter, have better tapers, more sensitive, and they don't break. If you do break one Loomis will send you a new one and give you 30 days to send in the broken one. There is nothing better out there.

Yes, I have several G.Loomis rods and I am still using the IMX that I bought from Beetlspin a couple of years ago.

Well, my son broke my Bronzeback the other day on a hook set. Boxed it up and sent it back and had a new one in a few days. No questions asked. Great warranty. I wish they had sent the old one back. I would have hung it on the wall, I caught a lot of big Smallmouth on that rod.

Dang that rod didn't last long.

Smoky, have you seen the size of those mean brown fish he has been catching............I am amazed it lasted as long as it has. Those are some pullin son of a guns.
