took a buddy from work down to big g friday looking for overcast skies but as usual my luck ran amuck. put in @mud creek around 0700 water temp 82deg. fished little cove to right out from boat ramp. no grass mats =no bites
Ran out and up to racoon creek fished left side going into creek had three quick bites. 1,rat 1on sup.spook, one on buzzer. all fish same size 2 1/2-3#. Roamed around in creek looking for bait, not much to be seen.Partner looking around for tourney with choo-choo bfl end of this month, he's going as co-angler.First time on bigG with someone who has been a few times.Cranked big motor and took off on sight seeing trip for him to get the feel of how huge this lake really is. First stop on tour was the river side of the miracle mile below bb comer. picked up a good solid
keeper in 15' of water on zoom ol monster, what color? red-bug what else. moved around alot after that all the way down to goose pond. stopped in middle of the river a few times to let my partner get his bearings and see a few land marks. headed back up river hitting most of the major creeks and pockets on both sides of the river.
all told 6 keeping fish nothing huge and no set pattern. from 2'-15'. Not the best day but still better than being @ work.covered 38-40 miles of water and as most of you know thats just a drop in the bucket but my partner got to see a lot that was new to him anyway.
