Although I am a born and bred Georgia boy I am on yall's side in this one. Atlanta needs to control itself, not try to suck down all the water within 200 miles.

Interesting editorial in the little weekly paper here. Editor talked about a spring on his farm and wondered how long it would be before Atlanta tried to run a pipe from it.

Why are Oconee and Sinclair Lakes *look* to be full pool while Altoona, Lanier, and Carter's low?  Could it be mismanagement by Atlanta instead of COE?

The full lakes are Georgia Power lakes - don't have to follow the same federal rules as the Corps lakes. Their main goals are power generation, no flood control and downstream navigation like the Corps lakes.

Hmm sort of right, sort of.

Georgia Power Co lakes, have to follow their Federal Energy Regulartory Commission (FERC) license.

Corps lakes, Corp can do anything the Corps well chooses to do. No Federal oversight, just Corp oversight.

My question is: How long have they known that the border was wrong?

I live in St. Elmo just 1 block from the Incline RR and if they move the border I would be less than 300ft from the Georgia line. I think I read where all of East Ridge would then be in Georgia. Sounds like a headache for alot of people if you ask me. And how much water do they use per day for the Georgia Aquairium? Sounds to me like a conservation issue rather than a incorrect survey issue. Just my .02
