I'm also using the B12, before that I used Seafoam and it worked great also. B12 is much less costly and it seems to be as good.

brushhog - 8/29/2010 7:41 PM where do ya get that b12?

Wal-mart in the automotive chemicals. $2.96 a can. Just keep it on the down low!! Sea-foam used to be really cheap untill everyone started using it. Just mix it 1oz per gallon and use a GLASS measuring cup as it will eat plastic in undiluted form. Will not hurt it in a mixed form.

Here is thread from a while back... http://www.chattanoogafishingforum.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=45100&posts=18&mid=351043&highlight=sea+foam&highlightmode=1&action=search

They do basically the same things. I have just found B-12 is a stronger chemical and works faster. Yellbert had a "overnight" repair for a rough idle and here is another testament.

I used up the last of my Seafoam, better get some B12, didnt realize it was as good. Im not much on the measuring when using additives, is too much a bad thing?

The chemicals in B-12 are very strong. Too much may hurt it. You will also need to use a glass measuring cup as it will eat plastic in pure form.

B-12 is cheap enough that you can run it in every tank. One $2.96 can treats 15 gallons and helps prevent problems as well as cures most fuel system related problems.

I have a 60 gallon plastic built-in tank. 1 oz to a gallon. How much in a can? Would you guys think running it in a more deluted mix would cure any problems over time or be a waste of $$ ?

There is 15oz in a can and will treat 15 gallons. It will take 4 cans and cost you $12. One can of Sea Foam is $9 and treats 8 gallons and would cost you a fortune. emoEek You might run a correct mix and then run nearly all the fuel out and then just run the mix every other fill up at the correct mix. This way you have a better chance of correcting any issues. IMO.

thanks for the info i put a can in my boat and ran it some to day seemed to idle better after a few good runs maybe it will start and idle better next time i take it out
