A friend and myself just had to try to find fish with warmer weather in the forecast. First we put in below the Nick dam (technically It’s Guntersville) trying to pick up some Jack or crappie with jigs tipped with tuffies and after a couple hours with no success loaded onto the trailer and put in at MCSP. Fished a good 4 more hours only to pick up 5 crappie for supper. We did throw a jerk bait and a trap for the last hour looking for a bass or two but no dice. Water temp was 45 - 55 depending on where we were. It was lots colder than I thought but still nice to be out of the house and on the water. Spring is coming soon!!

IT took me a long time to be able to enjoy my time on the water when fishing was slow but I finally got there and like you enjoy the opportunity to just get out there and anything else like catching a decent fish is a bonus

I would love to be out on the water, but it is just to cold. I myself am getting impatient waiting for the warmer weather. We still have two months till spring. Thanks for the report.

What makes it cold is the wind. I try to get a wind forecast using several weather sources on the internet. The prediction was for south/SSE winds but when I got to Blythe Ferry the wind was whipping in from the northwest. Not pleasant ! I might be missing something, but they oughta be able to predict the wind direction. Maybe Walden Ridge has something to do with it.

Thanks for the info - AND the joke. I generally go to windfinder.com but will look at the site you recommended.
