After this past winter I had some epoxy push out in a few different spots on my LU. I fixed all the spots and threw it in the back of the Tahoe in hopes that one weekend over at James's (wrechin2) while not super slammed with work we might have a second to paint it! Well this weekend my wish came true and James told me to go get my LU.
After 45 min of searching through a 100 or so paint cans I found a color I liked, James thought it was to dark and lightened it up with some silver and produced the top color. After spraying the charcoal he suggests we two-tone it, while not totally on board he put some fine-line tape on it and I was liking it! He sprayed the silver and then 5 coats of clear!
Oh but wait this is James were talking about he couldn't be finished! With all the trash that had landed in the clear he decided it needed to be wet sanded and buffed to a high mirror shine. James and I (mostly James) had spent pretty much the entire day on it, I know pictures wont do it justice but thought yall might enjoy! emoDance
I did manage to build 6 carbs so the weekend wasn't a total waste! emoLaugh
Oh and THANKS JAMES! emoToast
