Gloves to Fish in.

I also use summer gloves. It’s just enough to knock the wind off. When it gets extremely cold I have a pair of acutual winter gloves that I cut the fingers off of for more dexterity. All my gloves come from sportsmans warehouse. They have the best selection around. Trust me I looked all over Chattanooga.

Wool "Glomit" style gloves that allow you to use your finger tips but cover them while running. small handwarmers fit perfect in that "mitten" portion of the gloves.

Ordered Glacier Glove medium weight winter glove from TW.. Has a slot for your thumb, and index finger ( spinning reels), but keeps the rest of your finger covered. Tried last weekend during Rusty's tourney. Like them so far, and I get cold fingers with old age.

Try winter golf gloves. That is what I use. They are tight to make it easy to use bait caster and spinning reel. They are pretty warm as well. Most have a pretty good water resistance to them as well.

Here's a tip for you guys. Get a pair wristbands and put them on. Then tuck a hand warmer underneath it over the arteries in your wrist. This will heat the blood going to your hands and keep them a little warmer.

I've tried them all, I used to never have trouble with cold hands but the older I get the colder my hands get! I'm going to get some winter golf gloves like cmiller is talking about. I've heard good things about them. I guess the best I've actually tried are the insulated gloomets from Gander Mtn. However if it is really cold like close to freezing in the mornings my hands still get cold in them. When you flip the covers back all the ends of your fingers are exposed and mine get cold. Those gloves do work pretty well once the temp gets into the 40s. I'm going to try the winter golf gloves I think.

I’m telling you they work really well. You don’t have to cut the tips off and you can still control what ever kind of real you are using. Bait caster or spinning real. They are well insulated and again have a pretty good water resistance to them. Unless you just put your hand in the water with them on the only part that gets a little wet while fishing is the thumb.
And it takes awhile for it to get wet enough for the thumb to start feeling it.

No gloves while fishing (ski gloves when running, work gloves when loading and doing other "chores" around the boat), use a muff while fishing. Stick your hands in between cast, if needed add a hand warmer.
