Well I think this may have been a first a tie for first place. 11 lbs 11 ounces. We did manage big fish it was a little over 5lbs.
We started with our normal pattern texas rigged soft plastics - creature baits, 7 inch works, and 5 inch worms. We caught one keeper fairly quickly. David hooked a good 2lber that jumped and spit his work back at him. He had several more hookups and losses which is uncharacteristic. I switched over to the 7 inch work and caught 3 fish in 5 minutes and thought we were on to something but that ended just a quickly. About midnight I committed tot he spinnerbait and caught the big bass and another keeper that culled out our smallest fish.
Water temp 86
depth less than 6 feet
The strike sluggish
