Turtle Wax Ice in the liquid form. It's a longer lasting synthetuic carnauba wax. People are always asking me what I use on my boat. It's a black boat and 17 years old, and looks pretty much new. Ice dries very hard - I don't recommend the paste as it is just too hard to use on fiberglass but the liquid is so easy and it does not dry to a white residue. Here's the best part - you can get it all over your black rubber rub rail and it just shines it up nicely too. I use it on a Corvette too, for the same reason. You can even use it on a windshield. You darn near can't screw it up. Great protectant.
Used to use Pledge on another boat I had but it streaks on the black gel I have now. It's not a true long lasting protectant anyway, but it was a quick way to get it shiny after fishing. Ice is about as easy to apply and it is so much more.
