good producing public turkry hunting land

its my second year turkey hunting and i havent got to shoot at a bird yet. have had a close call but the decoy busted it last year. anyone no any good spots

AEDC WMA , Prentice Cooper WMA and Cherokee National forest are you best bet for public land in this area .

AEDC is the best I know of as far as good places. Birds are tough to hunt there because of overall preasure, but there re ways to hunt effectivly if you hunt hard.

Heck, why not go sit outside a school playground - lots of little turkeys there.

Try'um at about 10 or 11 in the morning. They'll be looking for some more action after their hens leave them. Don't call to much . Birds will often come in without making any sounds.Zach emoThumbsup emoToast
