I have been thinking about buying a GoPro to video my hunting and fishing trips. I was wondering if any of yall had used them and could give me a little feedback on them before I purchase one. Thanks!

I got one a coupe weeks ago I've not been able to use it much yet. they are excellent for making fishing videos but I don't think it would be that good for hunting unless you filming was up close. I tried to film a squirrel in the yard but you couldn't see it good. the hero 3 black edition was on sale for $329 back when I got mine at cabelas.

I got a hero3 black and we we just got back from washington state, I had mine mounted on the dash of the car taking video , set it on the beach on took time lapse pics , and took still shots . This is an awesome action camera and I think they have mounts for rifles for hunting videos you will definetly like it just make sure you have an extra battery

That is a great video Carl! What version GoPro do you have? Im thinking about getting the Hero 3 Silver Edition myself, don't want to spend the extra $100 on the Black

They are worth every penny. I wear one diving, for hockey, and flying my plane and Drone!!

There are several GoPro vids on my channels. My only gripe is if you plan on commentary or hearing what people say with waterproof housing on you are screwed. Now several of the vids are made with A Kodak Playsport and I absolutely loved that thing until I broke the housing on it. Ask Spur it has made probably 2-300 hours of vids for me with zero issues. It's just not an accesory whore like the GoPro.
