As some of you may have guessed from a previous thread I totalled my car a week and a half ago. The timing couldn't have been better, we are in the process of closing on a house and I go and trash my vehicle. thank goodness my dad had comprehensive coverage on my car, because we have zero money to spare to buy even a $1000 junker to get me around in. I was able to get a pretty good deal on a 2001 4x4 V6 SR5 Tacoma in Wilmington, NC and went and picked it up yesterday. I will definitely appreciate having a truck in the next year or so as our house will have alot of remodeling work and I'll be able to haul the stuff myself and a a while from now when I get a boat I'll already have a tow vehicle, it's rated for 5750 pounds, I think that will be enough for whatever boat I end up getting.

great looking truck, i've got an 02' tacoma that looks exactly like yours. Incredible truck, this is my third one and have loved every single one I've owned.

congrats on the taco, they are great trucks. i had one until yesterday when i traded up to a tundra. i recommend using synthetic oil and gear lube( you'd be surprised how it will help your mileage) also you might want to google "the deck plate mod" its a cheap and effective way of getting a "cold air intake" i'd also recommend extending the rear differential breather.

shameless plug, but do you need a tool box for that thing? i have my old one in my garage.

Congrats!! emoWorthy emoApplause Getting a good deal on a nice truck is like winning a bass tournament...only better. emoBigsmile Jmax
