I finished up with my last two birds here in GA. I got on these two birds the previous day and knew that one was an older bird, but they acted very reluctant to answer anything other than a cluck or purr. I got a glimpse of them that morning at about 80 yards and knew what I needed to do to kill them the next day.
I went back and they were roosted fairly close to the previous day, but they did something totally different when they hit the ground. But I had a plan with B-Mobile. I waited them out and at 10:45 they both came looking for a fight. As they both started bumping chests with the deke, I let them get lined up and dented the primer on one Hevi-13 shell. Only my 2nd day on this property and I was toting a load out.
If someone is looking to kill their 1st bird or just might need help, send me a PM. I won't bring a gun and just call and help setup. You have to supply the birds though!
The two year old with the thick beard weighed 22lbs. The other bird had 1 1/8" spurs and weighed 18lbs.
Here are my two killers in training!
