got my first fish finder for xmas

today i finally installed the first fish finder i have ever owned on my panfish boat. its not one of these new side sonar units or anything, just the most basic available. i got it for christmas from my 2 kids ( eagle cuda 168.) now i just have to figure out what i am looking at and how to use the information. i can't wait to get out tomorrow if it doesn't rain.maybe ill see some of you on the water

A "basic" sonar is a million times better than no sonar. They have come a long way and the 168 is reliable and accurate, not to mention easy on the wallet. Enjoy !

 I remember trying to learn how to read a flasher back in the day, I got to the point when the graphs came out I didn't wanna let go of the flasher. If you will take the time to learn all the tools on that graph it will open up a whole new perspective to you. Enjoy your new toy
