So I got my second Mystery Tackle Box today and Im pumped. I still havent fished since i got the last box so now i have double the lures to use. Ive never used a line-thru swimbait, but i will now. Also these plastics look and feel amazing! I may have a new favorite creature trailer for my jigs! We will see. Havent even seen the action, im just that excited about my box and that deprived of fishing. The football jig looks sweet in a PB n J color. That jerkbait looks killer. Its gills are flared out and the lip is fat. Its a nice way to spend $15 or so on tackle. I suggest it to anyone because i have definately recieved more than $15 per box and youre going to spend that money on tackle either way so why not make it exciting; you may find a new favorite technique. Here are pics of what i got:

Nice loot...

If I didn't have to go out of town I would offer to take you fishing. I haven't been able to go much myself lately. Your posts about not fishing are making me tear up... :)

Haha. Thanks. I tear up a little every day when I leave and get home and see the boat parked in the driveway knowing I cant take her out. Either way Ive been super busy working 7 days a week for the last 8 weeks or so, but soon i will do all the maintenence and fix the motor and all will be good. And when that happens i will have tons of baits to use!!

I got mine yesterday too. Our boxes are pretty similar. I got the jerkbait, jig, and line thru swimbait but all in different colors. My plastics however, were totally different. Hope you can get out on the water soon man. Take care.

Line thru swimbaits have put a lot of fish in the boat for me. I like the Top-Shelf brand better but those Optimum baits are good too.

This thing looks super cool. I really want to try it out.

Do i use the same gear as a regular swimbait? Im assuming with the treble that its the complete opposite of weedless. And do i give it twitches or smooth retrieve and let the bait roll on its own? Im clueless when it comes to these.

Nwgod, i was debating getting it for awhile and then a buddy of mine showed me what he got and i was sold. All the companies are good and the baits are quality.

Its a swimbait with a hole going from tip through belly to anus? (for lack of a better word haha). You thread line through the bait and tie to a treble hook. Not sure how the action is or how it works but the concept doesnt make sense to me as to why it would ever be better than a regular swimbait. good thing Mystery Tackle Box sent me one so I could learn. Hopefully i dont get hung up and lose it first cast, had that happen with the second lucky craft pointer I ever bought and never again. Haha
