Wheeeeewwww, what a trip. 2 days, 1night, 1300 miles, and 89 gallons of gas later I'm back home. By back is hurting, my buns are tender, but my mouth is sore from smiling. I traveled all the way to Supply North Carolina to pick up my new boat. It was a flying trip (at least going) but well worth it. Most of you bass guys might not find her features appealing but for us "alternate species" folk there is much to appreciate, eg: no carpet.I made the dash up there yesterday leaving at 5:00a.m. CST. I made it to the hotel at 4:00 ESTand checked in. Got a call from thesalesman to check on me and tell me boat was ready. I wasn't going to pick it up until the morning..but what the heck...5:00 arrive at dealer (no hotel near there). Shake hands, comb it over, give them some money, shoot the breeze, shake hands, hook up ....head for the water. 6:00. Make it to the closest launch 20 minutes later, which happens to be on the Intercoastal Waterway. I give her the shake down for the next20 minutesand load her back up. Head for Bass Pro Shops in the way back to the Hotel. Get a few odds and ends and hit the nearby seafood restaurant for a few cb's and some grub.. Get in bed by 11:00pm. Up at 7:00 a.m. and hit up the continental breakfast at the hotel, spend the next 10 minutes unjamming my rig that was fortified by cars during the night and head for home.

I'm tired as heck but I'll give you the down and dirty then post a couple pics.
