Was fishing yesterday and busting a few on a redeye shad. Mostly one to two pounders, just having some fun. Made a long cast and had one crush it right off. It jumped and I could tell it was a better fish. Slowed up and checked my drag just in case. Working it in it really got heavy. I started to think my five and a half record on my lake here at the house might be about to be broken. Nope! Got it up top and could see another bass had tried to take it away from the first one. emoTongue The first one was a pretty good one for Lake Balbao, it was a four lber. The second who tried to steal the bait was a two and a halfer. emoBigsmile Got the net under them and in the boat. Two bass for 6 and a half on the same cast. Got to love it. emoToast Jmax

very cool. have had this happen on jerk bait but never a lipless crank bait. had to be serious fun.

Always exciting to double up, rarity but it happens. Triple once in my life on a red eye.

Did you see the story from the recent BASS Open Tournament on Chickamauga? Chad Pickens hooked two bass on one lure... he said the big one pulled off but he got the little one. The little one was NINE-SIX (9.6)! He estimated the one that pulled off was eleven. He had witnesses including his co-angler and my friend, Chris Peters (who came in second), was fishing nearby and said he saw it happen.

Any two fish on one lure is impressive. 6.5 lbs. on one lure is real impressive. But imagine having 20-plus lbs. of bass hooked on one lure! emoEek
