I am starting to shop for a GPS/Fishfinder combo. I need to keep the cost under $600.00. Open for suggestions. Where to look, what brand name, color or no color, what's available?

How long have you had it and will it take the Navionics chips or other downloads?

Whatever you get, a color unit will give you much better contrast that helps determine what you are actually seeing on the sonar. You might want to wait for BPS to hold a 6mo. free financing deal. You can get a much better unit and pay on it monthly. With Christmas approaching, they will no doubt offer this option soon.
