Gps/sonar linking question....

Ok say I buy a Lowrance 520c with the gps and everything. Now say I have the same unit on the front of my boat without the gps. Can I link the one on the console with the one in the front and them both have gps then? If so what do i need to buy to link them?

Lowrance has the NMEA (?) hook-up....kind of networking and connecting a number of things,,,, sonar radar, temp, but i don`t know if your gps will show on a non gps unit. Go to their website and you can get just about any question answer some whereon it.

The answer is no. There are different software loads in a chartplotter vs a sonar.
You can can buy a chartplotter without a LGC 3000 and network to one that has a LGC 3000 or LGC 2000.
