I took Drew ( 4 year old grandson ) fishing yesterday evening around the boat slips at harrisonbay.
We had a great time and was able to catch 9 crappie ( 5 keepers ) 3 stripe and a large bluegill. I don't know if he enjoyed the fishing or the snacks more.emoHungry I do know one thing, his PaPal enjoyed him being there very much.emoBigsmile Our fish came in 2' to 3' water on twister tail grubs under a float. We came off the water at dark and he didn't want to leave then. emoFish

I hope your right fishinvol, but they grow up so fast and find other things.emoBawl
FS, to answer your question, no I haven't been looking for skipjack but I need to be. Do you know of anyone catching any and if so, whereemoFish emoFish

i hadnt heard of anyone catching any except up at watts bar. I may try down below the chick this week and see what I get into.

I was introduced to fishing at age 3 by my Dad and Grandfather. They were both lifetime fishing partners for each other and I as well. PaPa has since passed, but there isn't a single fishing trip that I make that I don't think about him. And I RARELY go without my dad. Even during the rocky times in our relationship, we always had that. I think you will find that your grandson enjoys your company more than the fishing AND the snacks combined.

Great report, Fishing machine. I wish that my grandson liked to fish as much as he does video games. He is 13 now and I hope to get him interested in fishing this summer.
