Grass Mats for this afternoon

Been a while since I have been on the Chick and have never been in the fall. Looking to come up this afternoon and try the frog. Is the better grass up the river around grasshopper and possum creeks or on the south end of the lake down around Wolftever? I usually put in at wolftever and haven't been north of Chester Frost because I have been on the lake three times. Thanks for the feedback.

Grass might be better above 60 but the grass from 60 south holds more fish.

Ended up with just a few hours to fish. Pretty much stayed around the backside of Patten Island because of the wind. Water draw down seems to be effecting some of the grass mats. Nothing on the frog, but my brother did manage a nice one on the Whopper Plopper. Looks like the frog bite might pass me by this year. Maybe I will get a break in the schedule to get back up before the grass goes away.

The best frog bite hasn't gotten here yet . Lake seems to be fishing a few weeks behind . Best is yet to come .

I agree. Still seeing a lot of grass that hasn't even started turning yet

Was down there for the past couple of days. First time this year I've had much success at all. We had an estimated 50-60 blow ups over the course of two days and caught 20-30 fish. Nothing huge. Most ranging 1.5-3 lbs
