When will the bass move into the grass? I read on here that grass will be gone in couple of weeks. Caught a few in grass this past week but not many. Long drive and I don't want to be disappointed. thanks

Saturday was bad. 5 hours and not a bite. I usually can at least get a hit on a plastic worm.

Me too. We were able to grub a couple out with worms but dang it was tough. Wore the paint off a frog on the matts and nothing.

All 3 days we would return to the same 4 or 5 patches of grass. Threw Whopper floppers on edge and frog in the mat.
My partner finally caught a large small mouth at dark weighed 3.58 lbs and it was skinny.i would love to be there when grass fishing was good.

Head to Gunty bc it Sucks with this cold front!!! I caught almost 200 last weekend and only 1 fish in the last 2 days during the cold front! Huge difference!

I fished this past weekend too, same result as you guy's. Had 7 small ones with one barely keeper on Saturday and missed probably 20 bites in the grass late in the afternoon, they were just swatting at it. Sunday, two bites from 7:45 to 2:00 p.m., one three pounder out of the grass. I was planning to take some vacation time next week and hit it again, do you guy's think with the cold front passing through that the bass will start to feed in the grass? I noticed there were shad everywhere I went around grass, even saw some catfish up patrolling the shallow edges near the grass on Sunday.

I have no idea what this front will do but I would greatly appreciate someone posting or contacting me when the bite turns on.
