Spur go up 58 and turn left onto hwy 60. Just after you pass Birchwood Pike on the left on 60 you'll see the turn off for Grasshopper on the left. If you pass the little store you've went to far. Just stay on that road and it will take you right to the ramp. Seems to take forever to get there and you'll think you are in the middle of nowhere but it is out there. Be aware that they charge you to launch or did the last time I was there.

Yep, that's what it was and that is the last time that I have been up there. Five bucks to launch is ridiculous. I won't pay it. It doesn't cost anything to go in there by boat though. emoGeezer

Very nice place! I did see a box on the side of the road for a five dollar launch fee though. I am really not sure how they keep track of who pays???? I didnt see any tags or anything you take with you, must be on the honor system. I guess if I wanted to fish up there and not spend the extra money in gas driving from elsewhere, I would pay it. Looks like the place is well cared-for too.

I live here in birchwood about 2 minutes from that ramp and yes it is on the honor system. The place is well taken care of and I have never had anyone bother my truck or trailer there. The people that operate the campground are good people. Ramp is a little aggravating when water is at winter level but then again most everywhere gets a little tougher.

Yeah the folks that run it leased it from tva and do a great job, they have redone alot of stuff like the dock and built some nice rental cabins.
