Thanks for sharing. I have seen that first hand and it can be heart breaking. I remember several years back there was a Pro sleeping in his truck to save money. I over heard him talking to his friend and he said, "I don't know how I am going to pay the house payment if I don't make the cut today." That is true fishing pressure. It would be hard enough to compete at that level but add that kind of pressure and it would be really tough.

If your having trouble making the house payment, maybe you should stop chasing your dreams and take care of your family. I promise fishing under pressure like that would not be fun. Randall Tharp did an article years back I remember, he stressed that you need to have your personal finances covered before you make the leap.

thats why some will never fish the elite series or flw tour. i wasnt willing to put myself or family into that precarious financial position. would love to do it but just dont have the support these guys have. you can see in the pics, the ladies and children all feel the stress but they are all there, supporting their fishermen chasing/living the dream. everyone struggles in life, some more than others its awesome to be able to pursue the dream/life but it wears on you after a while, which is why i went back to working full time

Agree 100% - there are a lot things in life that a person would love to do, buy, experience, ------- I'm a big believer in asking these three questions --- Would I?, Could I?, and last but most important --- Should I? Many a home has been wrecked because of a selfish decision to pursue a passion without regard to the impact on others.

thanks for sharing Pro. I have been fishing in the BFL tournaments to see if I can learn a thing or two and even as a co angler it is expensive.
