Cabelas is running a deal on their Lews Laser Pro Spool SLP reel with a Lews 6'10" MH Fast tip rod for $99.00. The setup is normally $149 to $169.00.

save up your money and buy a good mid-grade Lews. (150 range),. The better Lews are made in Korea. The low end reels are made in China. You can buy a tournament pro on ebay for around 155. I have a Laser. Its not bad but nothing like my tx pro. The better low end reel by Lews would be the Mach 11 SLP. Which is now at Sportsmans Warehouse for $99. just IMO

Thats good to know. I own Diawa reels but thought this was a good enough deal to try out a Lews.

The best lews reels are the ones with MSB Multi setting brakes. They have the centrifugal brakes. Just pop the side plate off and make sure it has centrifugal
