With summer coming in strong and cookouts becoming a right of passage, I thought I would let all of you in an a simple desert for the grill.
After you take your steaks, burgers, fish, etc. of the grill. Keep the grill hot. If it's a gas grill turn down as low as possible. Clean the grill with your grill brush if desired. Take a fresh peach and split it in half. Take the pit out and lay both halves "cut" side down on the grill and leave them alone. Replace grill cover and go eat your steak, burgers, etc. The peach begins to soften from the heat and usually takes about 25 min. to fully cook depending on the heat.
Once your done with your dinner, go check the peaches by pinching them on the top. If it is still very firm, leave them untill they feel slightly "mushy". Once done, put in a bowl "cut" side up. Sprinkle brown suger on top, and then a scoop of ice cream (Vanilla is my favorite). Sit back and enjoy. The grill gives it a very "chared" taste but the suger and Ice cream compliment it very well. To me it taste just like Granny's Peach cobler.
This is very easy to prepare and clean up is simple....Try it and let me know what you think....
