Sorry this is so late, but I had the opportunity to spend a week at the chick during the BFL Regional earlier this month, and just wanted to pass on a few of my thoughts. First of all, what a great fishery ya'll have there. I think I fished everywhere form Chester Frost to almost the Watts Bar Dam, and absolutely caught fish everywhere in between. During the Tourny I opted to fish main lake docks with a crankbait, and focused on the western bank north of the Power Plant to just above Route 60 Bridge. I also caught a few jig fish in the creek up the river that has the Dayton Boat dock in the back of it (I don't remember the name of the creek) I had actually found a bunch of fish way up the river on a spinner bait/trickworm, but as you may remember they dropped the water during the week, and left them high and dry. The water did come back up, but I decided to scratch that plan and focus on the docks. The first day of the tournament I only managed 4 Keeper Largemouth for 9.8, and although the second day was by far the better bite I had 5 (2 LM/3Spots) for 7.14. Two day total was 17.6. Although I didn't make the top six, I did manage a check for 20th place, and most importantly had a great time. The people were great, and I really look forward to coming back again. Again, you guy's got a great thing going there. Thanks, Darryl Just an FYI, the key bait for me during the week was a Norman "Fat Boy" in Chart/Black Back. I have no idea how many fish I actually caught on this bait, but both of my non-boaters commented on what a "fish magnet" that bait was.

Good report Darryl and thanks for the info. Glad you enjoyed the area and the fishing. Wish I could have come up with that kind of stringer in the TBF state tourny! welcome aboard and keep the reports coming.
