Saw this and thought, "Wow. That's super cool." And then I thought someone here may want to take advantage. There's a fella in Knoxville who paints guns for free. Yes, for free. And he'll show you how to do it.

It's just a color fill on the engraving. You can use a paint pen and some solvent cleaner....done. That's probably what he's doing. I've done it with a few of the AR's I've owned.

I'm sure that's what it is, but I was guessing some out there don't have the steady hand or confidence to do it themselves.

You can actually do it with nail polish by painting over the entire area you want filled in. after letting ti set for 5-10 minutes, wipe off the excess with a cotton swab and nail polish remover. I try to stick with non acetone just in case it might remove some of the finish.
