Gun Smiths are in high demand right now with gun season approaching it appears.

I have a Remington Model Seven 300 Short Action that has a trigger pull of a MACK TRUCK. I'm looking for a good TRUST WORTHY gunsmith who can show me how to adjust it or replace it for me. I looked it up online and saw several different post on how to adjust the trigger, but feel safer with a gunsmith showing me the do's and dont's for adjusting this gun. The last thing I want to happen is me getting hurt or even worse, SOMEONE ELSE.

Cheers emoToast

Call Norman Myers at 706-866-4430. He can fix you up and do it SAFELY. He told me he had a customer last year that bought a new Savage with the safety trigger for his son on Christmas. He decided the trigger pull was a little stout so he "worked" it himself. He had it so light that if you got on the trigger to disengadge the safety, the gun was going to fire. It wasn't safe so he took it to my dad and wanted it fixed overnight so his son could hunt before the end of season. He ruined his sons rifle trying to do something he had no business fooling with. A new trigger assembly had to be ordered and dad worked the trigger and adjusted it right. He does custom work also.

Buddy....also try looking on the website.....TnGunowners.com. There is a wealth of informative forums there.

I have never messed with a remmy model 7, but i have adjusted my two model 700s myself and it is a piece of cake. to make sure they are safe i bang the UNLOADED guns around quite a bit afterwards, it's been years now and they still both work great, without the pull of the "lawyer safe trigger" but if you're not confident, definitely have a smith do it, it will improve the rifle greatly.
