Well, I guess it is time for me to eat some crow. 2jigs and I found our way down to The Big G yesterday only for me to get schooled. We got down to Mud Creek and it was still dark and extremely foggy. While I was loading some new software on my GPS and getting the boat ready 2jigs began fishing off the ramp with a buzzbait. All of the sudden he catches a 3 pounder. I tried to tell him that fish should'nt count but it was such a good looking fish I went ahead and let him have it. We fished around the ramp because the fog was real heavy as a matter of fact we did not even get out of Mud Creeek until around 9:30. We fished mainly buzzbaits and buzz frogs. Had a few blow ups but could'nt get the hook up. After finally making it out to the River. We fished a few points with buzz frogs, Rio Rico's, and even brokeout a C-rig. NO Takers still 1-0. We made our way back into Town Creek to look for some shallow fish then it got tough. Shallow clear water with bluebird skies and no wind what so ever.. We did seem to spook alot of fish but could not get them to eat anything. After fishing for another 3 hours with no bite I finally hooked up with one on a Iodine colored trick worm but could not get it in the boat. Still 1-0. Worked our way to back of t-creek and finally 2jigs struck again. Short fish but it was a fish so now 2-0. That fish came off a buzzfrog. I threw in right behind him and got a good blow up but no fish. After probably another hour of fishing the back we decided it was time to leave and head back to the river. We headed down to BB Comer bridge and fished a stretch right off the channel. 2 jigs had one blow up on a buzz frog but no fish. We decided to move to the other side of the river and try the same pattern we had just fished.(Buzzfrogs in heavy mats right off the channel) By then it started to get cloudy and that made the difference. Had probably 6 blowups right in a row with 2jigs once again striking hard. Another 3 pounder. Now 3-0. We fished the last hour with alot of action but I could not get a hook up if someone put the fish on the hook for me. It was getting late so we had to head home due to prior commitments. That's just typical, the bite gets good and you have to leave. That cloud cover really made a difference. Final score 2 jigs 3 fish4u the big goose egg. Thanks for the schooling 2 jigs. I feel a rematch real soon. emoToast

Hold on just one second, I think I see a conspiracy brewing here.emoPoke I waited all day for him to catch up. They will catch everything they can off poor CMGrants hole. That is probably OK with Chris though I am sure he will just find some more fish and school them. War HBF team.emoLaugh emoLaugh

Yea drdetrout & D Mims will sore mouth every thing for a mile of that spot. They can't hurt those fish. It will give mike some thing to ref. off of, but it will just make it more fun.
