Churly and I met up bright and early with big plans to lay a hurting on the bass. Right at the launch things started looking bad as a big green Ranger with two clowns shows up right behind us.;)

We started with the same thing everyone else on the lake was chunking, traps. Didn't take too long before I hooked up with a 14" in around 3-5 feet on a flat. Shortly after, Churly hooked his twin. We didn't get another fish in the boat until Churly caught a fat pig, only problem was it might not have weighed. It was well over 2lbs and fat as a football but might have been a tad short. We both had quite a few hits but nothing great. We were making a final drift through the area we started in when Churly hooks up with 2 more twins that would both weigh. Same bait and depth as before. Then about 10 minutes later I hear Churly hook up again (I know, it was getting old for me too), and he pulls in a good 7 or 8. Only problem was that it was only 7 or 8 INCHES. We had a few more good hits and that's it. The good thing is that we may have figured a few things out, even though we did not boat a ton.

Good to see Jmax and Stump Jumper and I got to meet Madd Dog as well. The wind really sucked today as well, but it was better than not going at all.

Go ahead and throw what you saw on my partners pole, but be reminded he only boated two fish all day and one was a drum lol. Please don't tell anyone till after the Tx. Thanks

Sounds like a slow day Davo. Maybe things will pick up by Sat.  Did anyone get the water temp? Just wondering if it is warmer down there than it is here or the fish are just getting in a hurry.?

The highest water temp we saw was 51.5. I think I know what we did wrong, we both knew it, just didn't do it. Sorry Madd Dog, just had to give you a hard time.

Despite the wind had a great trip. I think we got a plan for 5 keepers figured out. Good to meet stump jumper!

MD, dont worry, nobody would believe us if we told them about the carolina rigged float-n-fly!

Was the water very low last weekend? It was the lowest I ever fished it!

Looking forward to seeing everyone next weeknd. There will be some hogs weighed in!

OOHHHHHHH, FA, I'd rather you just bet like $10 or something. After my showing the other day I think the line would be pretty hard for me to cover, lol.
