Well, where so I start, but WOWemoEek !!! Finally figured out what is happening on the Big-G today. Had an absolute awesome day. For the day 18 bass 16 measuring with a 7lb 2oz, 6lb 5oz, and 6lb 2 oz.
Best 5 was 28lb 8oz. But guess what, remembered the camera forgot to get the batteries out of the chargeremoDoh !! Had a fish pull off about ten feet from the boat that was the largest I had ever seen, emoBang and I have a 9lb 2oz from the G.
Put in at mud creek, but the fish did not come from mud creek. Majority of fish came on blades and soft plastics, only caught 2 fish on rattletraps. All fish caught in very very very very very shallow. Notice I said shallow. The key was to find a certain type of structure at the right depth. All fish was caught in one specific type of cover.
Spoke with some other guys that had fished down river today. They won a tournament with a little over twenty fishing grass edges with cranks. See a pattern developing here. Upper portions of a resevoir warm up faster. Initial spawing waves coming in up river and still staging down river.
Round 2 tommorow.
