Went down to Guntersville with Drum Master and met up with YankeeSkeeter and his uncle for a day in a nice stiff 15-25 mph BREEZE. Will the wind EVER die down any? Oh, it was ALL DAY LONG, TOO.
TT still has some sort of spell over my fishing. It works on Guntersville as well as Chickamauga. The first ramp we went to was CLOSED for THAT day. So we had to scurry and launch out of the City Park in Roseberry.
I caught 2 small ones in an area around that marina back in Roseberry on a 5 inch Yum dinger.
We then travelled out to an area near Comer Bridge on the river and we caught 3 there. Drum Master had one over 4 on a 10 or 11 inch worm. I caught mine on a 7" dinger. YankeeSkeeter picked up 3 or 4 dinger fish on that hole as well. A couple of them looked like 3 or 4 lbers.
Travelled down river to a similar hole and nothing. Travelled a little farther down river on yet another similar hole and each boat picked up a few on that spot. YankeeSkeeter's fish averaged a little bigger on that hole. He had one that was over 4, close to 5 on that hole. Dinger fish. Oh, and I did catch 3 on a CORN DOG at that spot.
The fish seemed to be holding in around 4 or 5 feet of water in scattered grass near creek channels or ditches.
The darker colored dingers worked best. I threw black and blue or black with blue flake. I believe YankeeSkeeter threw junebug a lot.
