TritonCarl, CooperJD and I loaded to boat down around 4:00 a.m. and headed down to Mink Creek Ramp. Immediately started working humps with matted grass with a plethora of topwater baits with no strikes. Moved onto some seawalls and deeper boat houses with grass. Threw topwater, swam worms and pitched jigs/creatures. Cooper boated a non keeper on a spook, and Carl caught a nice 3.5 lber flipping a salty craw into my favorite boat house. We later headed down river and fished several main river grasslines and islands. Never got on any fish with any method, mostly swimming worms and pitching into irregularities in the grass. Grabbed a burger at Waterfront, and headed into Guntersville city. We fished more main river grasslines with the same techniques above. I had one hit swimming a worm, but that was it. We got off the water around 2:00 so we could head home, nap up and get ready for the Daytona tonight, and a Guns N Roses tribute band later emoCool
Slow day on the water for us. Hopefully going to hit the G tommorow afternoon/evening...and then maybe Wilson/Wheeler on Monday.
