CooperJD hit up the G-Nasty (Rob knows my ghetto side) this afternoon after work. Ran to a couple of new areas we haven't fished before and they ended up being as good as they looked on the map. Caught some bass with DJW Chatt-RR-bait and 11 inch Swimming worm, all in about 9 feet of water. Moved along and scouted more areas, and took the Jmax and Churly long release approach. Got several hits but didn't hook up. Feeling good about a few places if conditions work out. There was lots of current and a stiff breeze that made the main channell pretty rough. Water temp was 85 degrees near North Sauty.

This was the best fish of the day, man the wind was ballooning my favorite shirt out, making me look like I did a year ago. OH well, still a good bass. Also some pics of the main channel grass if anyone wants to know what it is looking like.

I was actually right next to the Channel marker! There are actually a few markers that are in the grass. Its growing big time this year!

Hey Polo, go down there when you get a chance. There is litterally miles and miles of areas just like that. And all that grass dont hold fish either.

flip, we talked about that at the map meeting last night. I would expect that with a good map and flow in the river that one could figure out where there might be some fish.

Yep, sounds like I missed a lesson that would be very useful. I hope to attend the next. Something else that I would be very interested in is how to properly use electronics. Mine is really nothing more than a depth finder bacause I have not taken the time to learn about it. Any electronis gurus out there that may want to teach some of us something? I have a feeling that you, Polo, may be the type of fella for the job.
