Guntersville, 7/2/06 Bprice and Burger

Burger and I headed out on the G again to try to find some aggressive fish. Landed two short fish, lost a nice fish flipping grass edges. It was a tough day for us... we swam worms around the grass all afternoon and probably had 20-25 hits, but it seemed as if the fish were just mouthing the tail. We'd set the hook on strikes and come up with nothing. Oh well, at least they are in the areas we want them to be in. Also we couldn't coax a topwater bite. Found out some people were catching them on the main river lines. We were in the creeks.

CooperJD and TritonCarl did much better than us, after we gave our first spot up to them Cooper netted 2 over 3.5 lbs... hopefully he'll report his patterns on here.

Headin' to Wilson Lake in about 3.5 hours, so I am going to take a nap.

Dang Bprice, I thought I was bad, fished the G yesterday and are posting at 1:24 a.m. and planning to go again.emoScratch Ahhhhh.....The joys of being young. I could not of gone today again without some kind of 'pick me up'. Getting too old to stay out there three days straight, it's a tuff job but I guess someone has to do it. Those bass up there seem to be getting lack jaw on us at the G. Even the guide reports were not that good for the most part this weekend.emoCool Jmax

TritonCarl and I did indeed take over burger and bprice's spot. we followed them there, only to find the plug for the trolling motor had fallen down into the dashboard, and the front depth finder didn't work. so we did a little repair work while brandon and burger fished. they left and we continued to float, finally got the trolling motor fixed, the depth finder later that night at home, and started fishing.
i don't know the depth, less than 15 feet and swimming worms (junebug) into the grass. carl landed a keeper, one of mine went 3-4 and one went 3-14. i think carl missed another, and had a couple blowups on topwater, but not much action. mine hit outside the matted stuff, one just outside, and one probly 10 feet or so from the mats. i'll try to post pics
