Fished out of Mud Creek this morning, there was a small club or dogfight out of there so I waited for them to take off then I put in. Fished a cove that the wind was pushing baitfish in. Missed probably what was the biggest bass I have ever had tug on my line. I was fishing a grass line along a channel that goes from 4-6 ft then the grass of course is topped out along 2-3 ft.
I was throwing a Sismic Toad when the fish hit, I guess it was a case of "buck fever" because I didn't wait long enough to set the hook and I paid for it. The fish jumped and I couldnt believe the size of it...emoRolleyes
Lesson learned, I left the spot and headed to the river. Fished several grass flats on the river, caught 2 solid keepers and 3 dinks. Was out of the water by 10am. Caught the keepers of a spinnerbait and the dinks off a 7 1/2in worm and a lizard.
