MET UP WITH TARHEEL THIS MORNING AND PUT IN AT ROSEBERRY. WE STARTED OFF FISHING WITHIN SIGHT OF THE RAMP.THERE WAS A LOT OF ACTIVITY EVERYWHERE BUT COULD NOT CATCH A FISH.HAD A BLOW UP ON A CUTTHROAT BUZZBAIT BUT IT MAY HAVE BEEN A GAR.WENT OUT ON THE RIVER WITH NO LUCK AS WELL.WENT THROUGH A LARGE PATCH OF GRASS WITH THE TROLLING MOTOR AND I DONT KNOW IF I BURNED SOMETHING UP OR WHAT BUT AT OUR NEXT STOP THE MOTOR WORKED FOR A SECOND THEN QUIT .WHEN I LIFTED IT OUT OF THE WATER AND STOWED IT I HIT THE BUTTON AND IT WORKED .I DROPPED IT BACK IN THE WATER AND IT WORKED FOR A SECOND THEN QUIT FOR GOOD .HEADED BACK HOME WITH JUST A FEW HOURS OF FISHING.THE ONLY GOOD PART WAS HAVING A CHANCE TO MEET UP WITH TARHEEL,HES A GREAT GUY.I TOLD HIM THAT WE WOULD GO AGIAN UNDER BETTER CONDITIONS I HOPE.TO MAKE IT FAIR FOR ME THERE IS NO ONE ALLOWED ON GUNTERSVILLE UNTIL NEXT SATURDAY.OH YEAH AND WE GET SPOTTED AN EXTRA TEN POUNDS.

maybe a propshaft seal letting water in it. Also could be thermal cutoff. Hate to hear that you trolling motor went south. They are so expensive to replace.

Hey cutthroat. If you live close to Cleveland give John Swallows a call. He may be able to help you out on the trolling motor. Sorry to hear about it. I know that puts a damper on a good day when you have to leave the fish.
