I decided to play hooky. I met 1armbandit and we headed to the big G. Man what a perfect topwater morning it was!
But nobody told the fish. We missed a few "slaps" early, finally I landed 2 keeper LM and a tiny one on a dinger around Jackson County Park, then headed down to the Goosepond area where the 1armbandit nailed a hog! The fish threw the hook just before it tasted net and was a big one! 5 minutes later the bandit nailed a nice 3 plus. I will try to attach pic later. Then the clouds lifted and the bite died! We fliped main river, backwater, boatdocks and nothing but a few slaps at our frogs. I really enjoyed fishing with the bandit and I wont even talk about his Triton 21X!! Nice Rig!! All in all a tough day on the G,but it beat sitting in the office.

Sorry, ya'll had a rough day, but glad to see a report. All the reports I've been reading have said the G is off this year. I guess I'm going to try it Saturday, see if we can get the jig bite going. We're putting in at Mink Creek if anyone has any suggestions?

Churly, it's probably just the time of month or season. It gets slow like this about everywhere from time to time. But a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work. (Unless you are self employed)emoGeezer
