Well me and my partner went out on guntersville tuesday, and like everyone else we saw, did not do very well at all. I saw one fish and it wasn't in the boat so any helpful hints on fishing Guntersville right now would be appreciated.

Nice to meet you yesterday, and I wish I could help you....with the way I catch them down there, we could start the "Guntersville Blues band"

I hear you all. It's pretty rough right now. Thanks though. And i appreciate the props on the fish. Wish I could have caught 1 or 2 of them yesterday.

Well i wish i could have even seen a 1 pounder yesterday and i would have reallyu freaked out if i could have seen a 7 or 8 pounder. So Flip1up i salute you for what i hear your doing. Good job

With the steady cold fronts and unstable weather conditions we've been having fishing on the Big G can be tough. I'm no expert but here's my two cents. I learned a few years ago to just put my boat in 8-9ft water and cover water at that depth That worked for me most of the year. I think that works bc at that depth there's a change in grass going from milfoil to hydrilla plus that breakline sits above the 10-15ft depth change. This works even on the grass humps. The fish on the G don't travel very far bc they don't have to with all the cover and deep water creeks plus the bait. The fish concentrate more on the main river during the summer. This time of year as the water nears 50's degrees the fish start moving. Last year big fish were caught in less than 3ft of water this time of year at would be 30 degrees out. I can go on with this but here are three things to look for right now. One, slang a trap until you find new green grass. Second, find old grass lines, third find the warmest 50 degree water. Hopes this helps...
