I had the pleasure of meeting/fishing with forum member "SPOON" yesterday afternoon and it was a blast! We met at the TVA boat launch at around 4:00...SPOON already had his boat launched(and a nice boat it is...an 1860 CC w/4 stroke 90) and bait in the livewell. After loading up my gear we headed for the tailrace. SPOON literally took me to drum catching school...almost every drift with a yellowtail netted him a fish. i managed enough with my jig to keep me content (when it comes to drum fishing, i prefer to be a purist and use arts only emoLaugh ). Later on we noticed white bass were busting the top, so we gave the drum a break and worked out a few whites on spoons and rooter tails. We ended the day with SPOON feeding the few remaining threadfins to some more drum and me donating a couple of more jigs to the Guntersville tailrace bottom.
I had a great time, SPOON...thanks for the invite and the samples of your products!

btw...yall need to check these things out (SPOON manufactures them, and they WORK)

He is a good guy. I met him down there one day and fished with him also. His spoons, that he makes, were catching the Whites very well that day. He also makes, I dont know, litterally tens of thousands of the Carolina Keepers a year that alot of us are using these days. That dam, too me, is almost a snapshot of Nick. dam.

1860 CC huh? Is it a G3? I guess I saw ol' Spoon Saturday and didn't even know it down at the dam. Not too many center consoles around these parts.

HEY SPOON, I was in a white 19' Kenner, hoggin' up the wingdam for a while ;) .
