Hi Everyone,

My boat is finally fishworthy and I'm itching to go. Every day looks like a golden opportunity to wet a hook. If I could just convince my boss..........

I need info on G'ville bass fishing. I'm not looking for anyone's favorite spots, just general areas. A little info on colors and lures would be useful too.
I've never fished it. I live very close but would still prefer to fish the "Chattanooga" side. I don't want to give the gas company's any more profit than I have too! I'm hoping to learn a little about the lake so maybe I can make the CFF tourny on the 9th.

While I'm at it, if anyone can give some info on Alabama fishing license it would be helpful. I'll probably start with a minimum, 1 or 3 day non-resident until I see how it goes. Are boating requirements comparable to Tn ? Life preserver, fire ext.,whistle, registration, creel limits, length ? I don't want any unpleasant surprises !emoScratch

I guess this is a ton of questions, but heck, I'm all excited to get back to fishing in my own boat!!

well the non resident license are sold weekly and yearly the last time i went the non resident license were 16 for a week and 32 for a year i think but the yearly ones expire exactly a year after purchase date i always put in at bb comer bridge or mud creek they are both good fishin from either hope this helps dont know what they are hittin havnt been there this year

the 1 day deal is over the 3- day will cost you 25$ and the one yr. will cost you uhhh either 41 or 43 brain lapse plastic and plastic and big jigs this time of yr. of course topwater early morning hrs. most of the fish now have pulled out of the backwater and found the humps and ledges. off the main river channel. big bladed spinnerbaits will catch fish too. when i say big i mean a #6 or#7 second blade ripped thru the grass. some of the yrs best fishing on the big g is just around the corner i believe. wear plenty of sunscreen be ready for the grass gnats (you can't get away from em) so dont try nothing like coming in off the water after a day of fishing the bigG and stopping to get a bite to eat and smiling @ the waitress only to hear her shriek ooooh you got bugs in your teeth.

so my best advice to you is.............FISH THE RIVER FISH THE RIVER AND BY ALL MEANS KEEP YOUR MOUTH CLOSED WHILE CHANGING SPOTS.
good luck happy gnatting
